Gosnell School District is seeking feedback regarding the district requesting a waiver for an early start date for the 2024-25 school year (August 12). By starting on this date, this will give the district more instructional time prior to testing and allow for built-in inclement weather days.

Sign up day for the Gosnell Trap Team will be Saturday January 27th at 2pm in the Gosnell High School cafeteria for 6th-12th graders. This will be for all new and past participates of the Gosnell Trap Team. A parent or guardian will be required to attend for signature on paperwork to be eligible.

The girls basketball game @ Manila for 1/8/24 has been rescheduled to 1/11/24 @ Manila starting at 5:00PM.

Due to extreme temperatures this week, the High School and Junior High Football games will have different starting times.
*Thursday, August 24th, the Junior High team will begin at 8:00pm at Brookland.
*Friday, August 25th, the High School team will begin at 7:30pm at Piggott.

Gosnell SD: Parents and students for grades 7-12 need to enter campus on Jolly Roger road which is north of the Gosnell High School. If you have a GJHS student then you will follow Jolly Roger road around by the baseball and softball fields towards the Junior High. High School Student drivers need to take the same route except turn by the bus shop and enter the student parking area to park.

The teachers at Gosnell Junior High are excited to welcome you back tomorrow night at Open House, which is 5:30-6:30. When you come for Open House, we will be meeting in the gymnasium, first. If you are a new student, someone will be at the door to greet you and show you where the gymnasium is located. Mrs. Liz Richey will briefly share a welcome and then you will be dismissed to get your schedules and visit your classes and teachers. We hope you are just as ready to start this school year as we are.

Gosnell School District awarded “Big Business of the Quarter” by the Mississippi County Chamber of Commerce!


If you are attending the Jr/7th grade football games tonight at Blytheville, the price of admission is $5 for all people both students and adults a piece and it is MANDATORY to wear a mask to and at the game. Blytheville has a mandatory mask policy.

The Homecoming t-shirts have not arrived yet due to Covid shipping delays. We will get them to you as soon as they arrive. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. This is beyond our control. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
