Tomorrow Wednesday, January 19, 2022, is the GSD COVID shot clinic. Any parents interested in having their elementary student receive a shot must fill out a form and contact the school nurse 532-4024. Shots will be available to all elementary students with parent permission.
Group Pictures will be taken this week. 5x7 is $10. Forms have been sent home, contact your child’s teacher if you need one.

G.E.S. Third graders are giving back to the residents at Gosnell Health Care. Each resident received a gift and a handmade card from students.
Canned Food Drive this week to help families in need. Remember to send canned goods with students to school. Proud to be a Pirate!

Elementary COVID vaccine clinic will be December 8, 2021.
We will host a COVID shot clinic on Wednesday, Dec. 8th for any elementary student with parent permission and a completed form. If you want your child to receive a COVID shot, you must complete a form by Friday, December 3, 2021. If you do not have a form please contact the elementary office or the school nurse. NO shots will be given to students without parent permission.

Dear Parents:
The 6th grade teachers and students will be going on a field trip on Wednesday to the Zoo in Memphis. This field trip will be for students and teachers only. Due to COVID and all the contact tracing guidelines we are still required to do every day, parents are not allowed to go on this field trip. All students will be required to ride the bus to and from the zoo on Wednesday. Parents will not be allowed to follow the bus on this trip. I apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding around this field trip.

Dear Parents:
This letter is to inform you that all children ages 5-11 have been made eligible to receive a COVID vaccine. Gosnell Drug and Gosnell Elementary School are working together to help get our students vaccinated. We will be having a COVID shot clinic one day next week and wanted to know if you are interested in getting your child vaccinated. If your child is 5-11 years old and you want them to receive the vaccine, just fill out the attached form and send it back to school by Friday, November 12, 2021. Once we receive the forms, we will announce the date of our shot clinic.
If you have any questions about the vaccine or signing your child up to receive one, please call Chandlor Sullivan, Elementary Nurse at 532-4024 or Morgan at Gosnell Drug, 870-751-9242.
This vaccine is optional, your child will not receive a shot unless you fill out the form and give your permission. We just wanted to make this service available to all students between the ages of 5-11.

Important Reminder: School Picture Day Retakes/Make-Ups will be on Thursday, November 4 for PreK-11th grade and all faculty/staff. If your student was absent on Friday, September 10, he or she needs to have his/her picture made on Thursday, November 4, even if you do not plan to purchase. This picture is the student's yearbook picture. There will NOT be any proofs this time. If you are purchasing pictures, you will need to send money and the picture form on picture day (Thursday, November 4) preorder online (www.prepayorders.com) by picture day. Picture forms were sent home with students. Please do not dress your child in green for picture day! Thank you!!!!
