Because of the weather conditions this morning, the community service clean up trip for 9th grade boys has been rescheduled for tomorrow morning. We would like to thank some community members who have helped us with the process, Mr. Jeff Thompson, has helped set up and organize our clean up day to help our students earn community service hours, and to help clean up some areas in our local neighborhoods. Thank you so much for donating your time to help not only our students, but our community as well. We also would like to thank those that have donated supplies to help with the clean up day; Doug Johnson from AIM Industries, Josh Trapp from JRS Construction, Five Star Hydraulics, and Nucor Yamato. We appreciate you all!

Gosnell School District is seeking feedback regarding the district requesting a waiver for an early start date for the 2024-25 school year (August 12). By starting on this date, this will give the district more instructional time prior to testing and allow for built-in inclement weather days. Please click on the link to vote. https://bit.ly/3Ipe8yl

My name is Zachary Phillips, I am 24 years old. I graduated from Gosnell High school in 2017. For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be a police officer, to help out my community, have a sense of duty and service. Soon after graduating high school, I did just that and went into law enforcement by working as a Jailer and Transporter at Mississippi County Sheriffs Office ( MCSO), after working there for a few years I went on to be a patrolman at Gosnell Police Department. I worked as a patrolman for 3 years after GPD before I was given the opportunity of being the Gosnell School District school resource officer. Being the SRO at my Alma mater is rewarding in itself. I still have the privilege to protect & serve but this time it’s those that helped me get to this point & as well as all the students & other faculty.
